Legend of the Rose

1- "The Rose"

Once there was a love so true
that it brought light to the world
and to the heavens too.

All of the Gods both kind and cruel
blessed this true love
with a rose of blue.

A magical rose of the deepest hue
with a touch of purple
and tears of dew.

Two hearts it did join, two souls did it bind
in an immortal embrace
to last for all time.

Life after life these lovers reunite
the blue rose returns
and with it its light.

In dreams of the past I always find you
and here in my garden
grows a rose of blue.
---------------2- "Tears of Knight"

Alone in a tower within the walls of Castle Snow
there is a lost soul called The Knight of the Blue Rose.

He sets in the shadows beyond candles light,
sadly he wonders where his love is tonight.

For somewhere out there beneath the moons beams
is the beautiful woman he sees in his dreams.

Lifetimes have past yet still he does wait,
for his love to find him, for this is his fate.

Cradling a blue rose in the palm of his hand,
he dreams of her touch and for the nightmares to end.

Distance for him is a fate worse than death
but theirs is a love that will outlive the rest.

Wishing he could hold her his heart fills with sorrow
and the nightmare comes back that he could loose her tomorrow.

With great faith he pushes back the pain and the sorrow
as he closes his eyes to dream of tomorrow.

Upon the northern cliff
in the castle Snow
A knightly king sets on his throne
holding a blue rose.

As he twists it in his fingers
magic glitters down
disappearing somewhere
between his hand and gown.

For countless lives he's sat here
doomed to play his part
waiting for a love as distant as starlight
but as close as his own heart.

Every now and then
in the twinkling light
the magic rose reveals
a maiden dressed in white.

He can see the life withing her face
as he looks in to her eyes
She's the reason he's immortal
'cause true love never dies.
----------------4- "Touch of Tomorrow"

For countless lives they loved
until a dark curse pulled them apart.
But it did not stop or fade
the power in their hearts.

Binding them forever
is a magic rose of blue
him a knight of old
and her a maiden true.

From dragons breath to angels breast
they have seen it all.
From the beginnings of the earth
to man kinds rise and fall.

For centuries they've lived apart
as the dark curse did it's deed
but tomorrow all will change
and what was will come to be.

Tomorrow they will touch
and it will come to pass
that their love will live again
as it has in lifetimes past.
---------------5- "Endgame"

Far upon the northern cliff
within the walls of Castle Snow
a warrior dawns his amour
and the symbol of a rose.

A steal dragon at his side
a sword of lifetimes past
the game has come to this
the end has come at last.

Far below the castle
a dark one rides the night
his last battle has come
and she knows that he must fight.

As the gate climbs open
he gives his battle cry
and leaves his love behind him
with no fear that he may die.

They meet in the valley
swords both fully drawn
the clash of steal rings through the night
but only silence comes with dawn.

One final swoop had cut the air
and the wind did start to rise
as the lightning of the fallen
burned into his eyes.

Those shinning arrows of light
had burned away the fog
and on the field his body lies
while his head lay in the bog.

And now her words ring true
as he looks up to the sky
they echo through his mind
"True love shall never die."

Back to the castle he came
at last he could stay with her
and light came to the kingdom
with the fall of the dark one, Wither.

The battles had been long
he fought so hard to hold her
but there inside each others arms
they knew the fight was over.
