Personal paths are something often referred to in pagan discussions
of many subjects. "My own path" is a dominate statement these days
and a way out of a lot of challenges. But beyond the "my own path"
statement is a much larger story and something most people do not
want to take the time to meditate on.
We all have our paths. But exactly where are those paths leading us
to and what adventures do we have along the way? Those are the tales
that hold the most valuable life lessons that others love to hear.
Sometimes we can separate the lesson from the tale and just pass on
the wisdom for others to add to. But we have to take the time to do
it. And when we do it we go from having our own paths to our own
legacy.
Wisdom has no value until it is applied. In order for it to be
applied it has to be shared. What else do you really have to leave
behind on this world beside your knowledge?
That is why learning is so important. Learn everything you can. Then
pass it on. Your life will be richer and your legacy will last
longer after you are gone. For those of us who have children our
knowledge is the best thing we can pass on to them. If your child
comes to you with a question it might be helpful if you have already
considered the question sometime in the past. It does save on some
stress too.
My life and my world are both self-standing adventures. I could
write a whole series of books just sharing tales. My personal
journals read like fantasy novels and are the base for a lot of the
things I post.
I'm only 27. The young pup. But my age does not play a role in what
I have to offer. I've already been tried and tested several times
and I am still here doing what I do. Now my messages are inspiring
to some and at the same moment they piss others off. But they are my
own and I leave them open to interpretation. Challenge them and I
will back them. That is part of being me.
My path started outside of magic. I started with an autobiography of
sorts. It was an excuse in self-analization. You can't know what you
are capable if you don't know who you are. Most people walk through
life with absolutely no idea what so ever of their potential because
they simply do not know who they are. They search for an identity
all their lives and by the time they have one their time is up. It
took me 9 months to hand write my life story complete with poems,
pictures, dreams, and all kinds of other colors. The damn thing is
over 900 pages long. It is really a good read because it is open.
The good and the bad, light and the dark and yours truly was once a
force to be reckoned with on the street. I was the personification
of a lot of people's nightmares and I was down right ruthless. I
passed through darkness into light and back again a few times. I run
the spectrum just like anyone else. But I never lost sight of my
core of being. All of my personifications in life are extensions of
my soul. I don't try and pretend to be anybody. I don't put on a
false face so to speak. I am what I am. Now on certain stages the
volume is turned up but no matter what you see me in if you were to
come to my house you would see the same person.
I took the time to talk to myself about who I was, where I came
from, and where I want to go in my life. And in this group or in any
other forum you see me on you get to come along for the ride. Even
if it is only for a short time. That invitation is open to anyone
out there. Here I am...get on or get the fuck off. It doesn't really
matter to me either way. Snowden does not change for anybody. You
can't make me, you can't break me, and you can't mold me because I
have already done it to myself. My legacy is forged and hardened.
It's mine and no one can change it but me.
One challenge is when it comes to the difference between you and
your magical self. And often there is a huge difference. In the
mystic realm we are often different than our mortal selves. There is
a difference between "reality" and who we are "inside the circle" so
to speak.
There is a bit of a difference between "Snowden" and me. I am just a
country boy raised in a village of about 200 people. I love farm
life, gardening, the woods, and setting on the porch at sunset on
summer nights drinking lemon-aid.
Snowden is who I became through a life that was so far outside the
box there was no box in sight. At first there was a separation of
the two. Then they got together and blended into what you see today.
2 parts of a whole. Now I am complete and in being complete I am a
pretty strong force. I'm proud of who I am. I act without doubt and
I speak without fear. I can do that because I know who I am and what
I am capable of doing. I also know where my limitations are and I
try to push them as far away as passable.
Self-work leads to self confidence and confidence is something most
people could use more of. I try to teach them how to gain that by
setting examples. Not necessarily saying "This is what you HAVE to
do." but "This is what you are capable of doing if you choose to."
If I can do it anyone can. But it is your choice. I wont force
anything onto anyone. If you watch you watch. If not that is fine
too.
I've always said I am not for everybody. I have as many enemies as I
do friends. I accept that and I keep going no matter what they say.
Because in the end all that matters is you and where your choices
lead you. You can take advice along the way but you have to be able
to think and act on your own. You also have to be ready to take
responsibility for what you do instead of coping out with some lame
excuses.
If I screw up I am ready to pay the price for it. And I will learn
just as much from paying my dues as I do from giving some things
out. So there is one secret to Snow. How do I know so much? Trail
and error. Lots of trial and error. Try and fail or try and succeed
I live, I grow stronger, and I fight another day. That is my legacy.
That is what I do.
People sometimes have a hard time with leaps of faith. In life there
are a lot of scary things we have to decide on. If we choose not to
try something we might be safer but we didn't learn anything from
the opportunity. Sometimes you just have to take a leap of faith.
Try and fail or try and succeed at least you tried and if you are
smart you learned something that you can pass on. That is life.
Pretty simple. You can spend the time you have on this world living
or you can spend it dieing. The choice is yours.
Foresight is a good thing to master. Where are you going and what do
you have to leave behind on your path so that you can find your way
home?
I do what I do and I try to share as much of it as I can. I wont be
around forever. But I do intend to be. My path and my goals are to
tell tales and offer lessons. To make people think and get a hunger
for it. I offer what I can in hopes that my spirit will live on
through the stories, songs, and life lessons. I'm forging my legacy
so I can leave this world knowing that I made a difference and I
lived to live. I was not just setting around hoping for sudden death
overtime.
