Deliverance (Part 2 of "Something Wicked")

In "Something Wicked" I wondered what it would be like falling into
darkness myself. There are some instances that hold you in darkness
and negativity and instead of lashing out at the world it drains you
and you loose all of your willpower. You can't think clearly, no
longer see your way ahead, and are just so mentally, physically, and
emotionally burnt out that you shut down.
What can you do when it feels like there is nothing you can do? When
it feels like your life is not in your control. Others come in and
make expectations and you follow them the best you can out of love
or respect but soon even that is too much to ask of yourself.
What would you do if it was a friend or loved one you saw going
through this instead of you? Now there is something rare. The idea
that not everything is about what YOU want. We don't often spend too
much time outside of our own heads.
I've been there and when I was there I was defensive and alone.. I
wouldn't ask for any help. But I got it anyway.
These are the times when you find out who your true friends are.
They will be the ones who see through the darkness and past the
demons and above all else they will understand. And as much as we
like to try and impose our will on someone else's life sometimes all
we SHOULD do is set back and understand.
Preach all the love and light you want and I will still tell you
that there are places in the human mind that are dark and very
terrifying. We don't often go to those places because they make us
feel ugly, vulnerable, and weak. The things you see there is often
against everything you stand for, everything you believe in. But
contradiction only gives more depth to fact. It is there and it is
part of you. You either learn to except it or you walk through life
in blissful ignorance living a lie and sooner or later reality Will
come along and whoop your ass.
Sometimes we seem to be in an eclipse. The darkness of hard times is
covering our sun and throwing our world into a panic. It is hard
and frustrating but it is also a lesson to be learned. Not
everything goes as planed, there is a reason we say "for better or
worse" and some times the hardest thing to do is to do nothing.
The sun has never screamed at the moon to get out of the way. It
just sets there in silence and allows the moon to have its time.
Knowing that the moon would not have any glow what so ever without
the sun. Darkness needs the light and light needs the darkness. That
does not require some long drawn out battle of wills or words. It
just is.
Night has fallen on the world of kings and queens. And we let the
creatures of the night out to play in our hearts, minds, and souls.
Knowing against all signs of no hope that soon the sun will rise and
all the darkness will run and hide again until the next time. And
even in the darkness of this night them moon is shining brightly.
The epilogue of good time past and prophesy that even if it can not
be seen the sun is still there and racing it's way back to with hope.
Yule is coming and the same ancient promise of light will be
renewed. On the longest night of the year the sun will keep its
promise to grow strong once again and race toward the top of the sky
bringing warmth and new life to a sleeping world.
In our hearts we are the God and Goddess, the sun and the moon. Our
ways and natures, our very lives, follow the same patterns as the
symbols we use for our deities. They show us the way in the most
spectacular events. The great dance of the heavens plays to the same
song as our lives could if we just learn how to listen and
understand.
Like your first school dance this is a time when you must choose.
You can stand up and sway to the beat of the universe or you can sit
in a dark corner alone wonder why you are here. The answer is being
screamed at you. Pay attention.
